Mission: Christmas Decoration- Complete

Hey Sistas,
All the Christmas decorations have been packed away until November - I always have mixed emotions when I'm putting everything away. I'm happy to get it done, but I don't know, there is just something that gets empty inside of me. I believe it has to do with the fact that my house is bulging at the seams with garland, lights and many many collectibles; and then it looks so empty when the decorations are all gone. It's like a good friend you only see once a year. You spend time together and then when they leave you're sad :( ~~ That's it - I just realized that's how I'm feeling! You may think this is just way too out there, but for those of you who know me....you'll just say..that's Staci for you. Ok...here goes the quirky me....As I put away my sweet Christmas collectibles, tree, garland, etc....I would say "I'll see you in 09" - I know - Weird....But, I'm telling you some of those homemade Christmas ornaments made by my Ansley and Andrew - well, they mean the world to me - just precious priceless treasures....

It's like my relationship with my sweet precious JESUS- HE is the most priceless treasure that I have in my life. HE is all that keeps me - HE is rocking my world - HE gives me new revelation each day - along with with HIS mercies....which by the way I NEED ALL I CAN GET - I have noticed the more I need for me - the more I need to give out....

O.k., I rambling.....got to go do laundry - the Pealock's must stay covered!!

Wii Fit

OK - Sistas.....I asked for a Wii for Christmas and also Wii fit... so I can get fit - you know what I mean? Willy Willy Fit.... ok...so I'm not so funny after all.

I'm telling you I absolutely love this game, workout ...whatever you call it - It's so much FUN!!!

I have ALWAYS - ALWAYS - understand me when I say ALWAYS hated excerise....with a PASSION!!

But, this is so not like excerise, but you get a terrific workout..YAY!!!!

Anyway, I've been - I hate to say busy.....but with all the Christmas entertaining I did this year and other things going on I have not had a lot of free time...but, I did want to check in and say

HAPPY NEW YEAR.......and hope you'll be feelin' Fine in 09!!

My Baby going to College.....



Andrew that it..He was accepted to Gainesville College - He will start in January! This is very exciting for him. He only has 1 1/2 days of High School - He will go back and walk with his class in May! WOW - My baby is growing up!! It's a good day! The picture above is what we placed in the Yearbook for his Sr.page. When Andrew was younger he had a pair of plaid short and a cardigan sweater and he called them his "college" clothes. Now He really needs them....What is a Mama supposed to do??? Two kids in college - I'm so proud!

Gatlinburg Trip

Hey Sistas! Everybody ready for Christmas???
I've got a few more presents to purchase and a little more wrapping then I'll be finished!
Todd and I went to Gatlinburg this weekend. We always stay at The Riverhouse in room 53 - it's kinda our little honeymoon hideaway...ssshhhh...don't tell my Mama! We usually go in January for our Anniversary, but we have another trip planned for that time so we went early and did a little shopping. It was a lot of fun.

We stopped by a cute store in Clayton, Ga "Goats on the roof" where there are goats on the roof. It's a precious store and has the sweetest people working there. You can feed the goats by raising a can up the side of the building. See the picture of me and the little goat waiting for the food.





Then as we went over the mountain from Cherokee to Gatlinburg we encounter cold temps and a lot of snow...Todd kept stopping and making me get out of the car for a photo opp...well, I had my seat warmers on a.k.a. "Rump Roasters" and I did not want to get out of the car....but, he won and here are a few pictures....





Then on Saturday we did a lot walking in town and that is always fun.



Home on Sunday - and I'm getting ready for my Christmas party week...

Tis so sweet to trust in JESUS

When Ansley was in Kindergarten she went to a private Christian school. Where she learned so many of the hymns that I love. One in particular is the above - Tis so sweet to trust in JESUS! Trust is a precious thing that happens in our lives. Some of the ways we learned to trust - jumping off the sides of a swimming pool into the secure safety of our parents arms - how about falling backwards into someone arms (I never could do this) - whatever it has been that taught you to trust I'm sure like me there have been many things that have broken trust. Hence we then have our "trust issues" What is this? Trust issues? I've heard this over and over as of late and I kinda get it but, not totally. Yes, I have been hurt and disappointed by someone very close to me and trust has been broken. But just that broken - some thing that is broken, well it can mend. It does take work and I believe that is why we have our "trust issues" we chose not to allow ourselves to mend after we've been hurt. Oh, yes, I get the tough Sista routine....I've been there done that and got the T-shirt - I can say that does not mend you...you may have a hard spot of protection, but you're not healed.

So, is there healing after broken trust?? YES, SISTA!! YES!!!

Our sweet precious LORD can take our broken beaten and battered heart and turn it into beautiful - only HE can do this in us and through us.

Do I hear you asking how can I be healed? It's simple - really!

Proverbs 3:5-6 (one of my life verse)
TRUST in the LORD with ALL your HEART and lean not unto your OWN understanding, but in ALL your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your path!

Easy, uh??? Not always, but totally necessary if we want to get rid of our "trust issues"!

O.k. - I'm going to share something that the LORD taught me many many years ago and I can honestly say it changed something inside of me...
When we are faced with people that have hurt us that are of the faith what are we do to? GOD sees it all - ALL!! First, hit your knees and get rid of the offense - then TRUST - yes, Sista! TRUST the LORD - you may not trust the person, but you can TRUST the GOD inside of the person. Get it? If GOD is LARGE and in CHARGE - YOU can TRUST- and we all know...
Tis so sweet to TRUST IN JESUS!!

~Sweet Surrender ~

O.k. - Well, here's the deal - GOD has been Revealing, Dealing and Healing me! Thank you, JESUS! So, in m y journey with JESUS - I've had to take a few glimpse back into my childhood. You know sometimes you can't move forward until you go back. Well, as I've been on my journey I have uncovered some really neat things about me. One being I have always been a rare bird - Just plain out quirky! When I was younger I thought something was "Bad-the-matter" with me because I just didn't "fit" in with the crowd. I want to share one of my childhood quirky memories. Well while most girls loved Donny Osmond (I did like him and I do still have my Donny Osmond lunch box) I totally loved John Denver. QUIRKY!! My grandmother Lois had a stereo system - you know with the big record player, radio and cassette player....well, she had an extra feature on her system - guess what it was???? You guessed it....HEAD PHONES!! They were BIG and black and totally covered my head, but I loved them. I would plug those babies in and lay in the floor and listen for hours to John Denver. I would sing along and well, you know that never works out when you're wearing headphones because - well, it just doesn't. But, Oie Poie (we call her Nanny today) she would tell me you sound so "purdy" and well, I would sing louder and louder...yep. me and good ole John Denver!! QUIRKY!!! I totally get it - Once Quirky always Quirky! I am my Father's daughter - Sista Quirky - Nice to meet you! So flash forward to this morning....I am at my computer digging in scripture trying to soak up all I can about surrendering to GOD! Laying down my want(s) and will(s) - As I do this I pray LORD please give me "Sweet Surrender" and so being the computer nerd that I am - I googled Sweet Surrender...and well, GUESS WHAT????? Good Ole John Denver popped up on You Tube....singing...YES, one of my favorites....Sweet Surrender!!!! WHOA!!!! I had totally forgotten about this song! Well, I could not resist....I had to share with you and you get a double doozie because there is an interview about the song and also...ready for this...He also sings.....DRUM ROLL PPPLLLEEAASSEEEEE - Country Roads!! I LOVE IT!! So, without further ado.....HERE'S JOHNNY.......

I have had a wonderful day with my sweet JESUS! HE has been revealing to me so many precious things! I love it when HE wraps HIS loving arms around me and allows me to melt like butter in HIS arms! It is HIS hearts desire that we run to his arms and love on HIM. I encourage you today - STOP and LOVE on JESUS!! HE will give you new revelations for your life! Be BLESSED!!!

As Christians, we too can find ourselves facing huge fires when we have been walking in obedience to the LORD.So what do you do when you are facing the fire? STAY FAITHFUL!! We must focus on the FATHER! If you are in the fire at this moment- you can find freedom! GOD will remove the chains that hold you bondage -just like he did for the Hebrew children.Their chains we removed by the fire – you can have freedom as you to walk through the fire – focus on the FATHER!! You will NOT smell like smoke!

Stumbling Blocks or Stepping Stones??

"What your Childhood Memories say about you....and what You can do about it"...I am listening to this book on cd by Dr. Kevin Leman - He was a guest on Joyce Meyer show last week. So, I was curious about this book. And WOW - Double WOW!!

I have always struggled with my childhood memories. All I remember is a lot of negative stuff. Being from a divorced family there was a lot of hostility and resentfulness. This is the enemies playground. he can get a stronghold on our minds and well, just get us to sing the gloom - despair - agony on me song... (Hee Haw) - So, through this book...I have leaned that I can forgive and take the hurt from the past and mix them with the hope of JESUS. It's not saying it was ok, but forgiving allows freedom to grow within my heart. We all make mistakes, Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother - ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. ALL - so with this I have let allot of people off the hook - that I held responsible for my less than perfect childhood. As I have revisited my childhood this week, I've realized that I had many sweet times- I wanted to share a few of them with you:

~ My Nanny - she always loved unconditionally - I believe there is nothing I could do so bad that she would cut me out of her life. I remember spending the night with her and she would spoon with me....what's that??? When we would sleep she would scourge up real close and I would fit perfectly - she would hold me real tight - there was no safer place than my Nanny's arms.

My Mama - I loved church. My Mama would let me put my head in her lap and she would play with my hair. With the week being so busy and not having opportunities to put my head in her lap and get undivided attention - well, I looked so forward to Sunday and going to church. I believe that's one of the reasons I love church so dearly today.

Regardless, of your past you have a gift called the PRESENT! Embrace all that GOD has for you, sweet Sista! I want to share this precious Scripture with you that blessed my socks off...

I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Bretheren(sista), I do not count myself to have apprehended: but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14

How about you - what's your sweet memories? You may have endured some trying times and hardships, but Praise GOD - it shaped who you are today. So, do you call it Stumbling blocks or stepping stones?

Time - Where does it gooooooo?

O.K., so it's been a week...YIKES! I can't tell you what I did in the last seven days...hummm. well, I know I was here and not abducted by aliens...let's see....Friday- Lunch with McDonna and Kay Bird; Saturday - Hanging out with the family; Sunday - Church and Sister and her Hubby came for a visit; Monday - Cleaned house (Ithink); Tuesday - (Cleaned some more); Wednesday - Baked all day - yes, Chirstmas baking with the Christmas music and all - My daughter Ansley said "I love Christmas - everything smells good and feels real cozy" then she asked..."Can we put the Christmas tree up early?" I know that sounds so sweet, but I've been in this trap before....they all want the tree up, but dear ole' Mama is left to do all the work....kinda reminds me of the little Red Hen that wanted help making and baking some bread....so speaking of bread - check below for the picture of my pone of cornbread....YUMMIE!! and the pintos......delicious...they would blow you away....hee hee (I couldn't resist that joke) - so life is good! GOD is GOODER!! Oh, yes, this week I have been preparing for our LAMBS (Love And Ministry Between Sistas) Thanksgiving luncheon...I knew I'd been busy for JESUS!!! Love you, Sistas! Rainy Days and Thrusday.....Always....Well....

They don't get me down! I love rainy days - especially when I can be at home. Life brings no simpler pleasure to me than to be at home cleaning and cooking a pot of pinto beans and a pone of corn bread. Pone of Corn bread? It's a southern thing - I think sometimes I just get to busy, running around trying to create joy for me and those around me. When the reality is joy comes from within. It cannot be manufactured - yes, I would agree that happiness can be - but being joyful to me is totally different than happiness. Joy is who you are - happy is what you are! In the latter part of Nehemiah 8:10 it says For the JOY of the LORD is your STRENGTH!
Another scripture that just resonates in my heart Philippians 4:12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
Hallelujah! We can be content and full of JOY!! So today, I want to encourage you to put a smile on your heart that will shine through on your face, flex your sprititual muscles and go put on a pot of pintos!! In JESUS' name! AMEN!!! Love you, Sistas!

Got Hope??

You know it's easy to lose hope. Trust me I have lost mine time and time again. Only to relocate it at the feet of JESUS! For those Sistas that know me...well, you know I love acronyms. Yes, I do! I am constantly looking at words and making them mean something to me. So with the recent election results I recalled one of my favorite acronyms.....

Holding
On
Problems
Evaporate

I actually had several words to go with HOPE - but I especially liked this one, because my man (Todd) joined in and came up with problems evaporates...I had Peace Endures....
You may say how can my problems evaporate....problems well, there PROBLEMS!! Well, I have hope for you! When things or people go wrong - you have a decision to make...do I add to the problem or do I look for solutions? So that goes to our focus- what am I going to focus on? Negative or Positive...you can ALWAYS ALWAYS find the negative (by yourself or from others) and in a hurry I might add! So to sum it all up, it's about your vision - don't get your eyes on the problem; get your eyes on the purpose. There is ALWAYS purpose in the pain. Look at our example - JESUS! HIS pain was our gain! AMEN?? Yes, AMEN!! So you see it doesn't matter if we are experiencing the mountain top or the valley low - GOD is still GOD and HE is in control!
When we pray it changes our focus! FOCUS on the FATHER!! I'll say it over and over....
GOD is LARGE and in CHARGE!! HALLELUJAH!! I Love You! I pray bountiful blessings all over you today! :)

The LAMBS (Love And Ministry Between Sistas) had me a birthday party at Bible study yesterday! Just look at that cake!! Double layered - Double Chocolate!! YUMMIE!!! I had a wonderful day and I felt sooooo loved! I'll try and post another picture or two...oh yeah and all the ladies wore pink to honor me and Breast Cancer Awareness Month!! How precious was that??!! I love you, Sistas!!

If we don't BURN ~ they WILL!


This is a picture of me and my sweet precious friend (blue jacket) Hannah-Banana praying the sinners prayer with Susan. Our church had revival with Tommie Zito last week. This was the most life changing week on my life. During the day there were teams of people from our church that went on the streets to do evangelism. It has been years since I went door to door witnessing. This was so much more than that. We had a script that took about 2 minutes to read. It was amazing to me how opened and receptive every one was to hearing about the LORD and how he has an awesome plan for their life. Then at night we had service where the LORD would just fill us with his love! The total soul count was 538 - my count 14! The phrase If we don't burn - they will! This means if we don't get on fire for the LORD and spread the gospel - then the people will burn in hell! So, I say.....I'm ALL in! I want to burn with the fire of the Holy Spirit! I've asked the LORD to use me and give me courage to use my mouth (like I need any help in this area) to tell eveyone I meet of his love and that he has a plan for their life! Too GOD be all the GLORY!

The HEAT is ON - FIREPROOF :)

FIREPROOF your Marriage, Siestas! I want to encourage you to go see this wonderful very realistic movie. Me and my sweet Man went to see it! I just cried and cried! Our church, The Torch Worship Center bought the 8:30 showing and that was real special. The theater was packed. I believe they bought 300 tickets. What a message in this movie. I know it will save many marriages. GOD is so good! Thanks, to all who made this movie possible! You are a blessing to us all! Love you, Siesta Staci :)

Sweet "Seasoned Saints" Sistas

I tell you what...if you want to have the time of your life just go hang out with a few "Seasoned Saints". I had the privilege of taking a group of these ladies to Buford on Wednesday. We went to Hobby Lobby, Michael's and then we had lunch at Olive Garden. I loved listening to their stories from the past. And how when they were younger they would gather around the radio and listen to scary stories. Priceless! And also, the discussion on outside plumbing...well, now that was too funny! I just wanted to give a little shout out to my Sweet precious Sistas..." and what Seasoned Saints"they are!

Concussion??


Yes, it is! Concussion...My Son, Andrew was "boxing" with his friends on Monday. Well, it was all in fun. For whom, I have not figured that part out yet... Andrew took a pretty hard blow to his temple and down he went. Thanks to his friend, Joey for getting him to the ER. It was the weirdest thing. My cell phone was dead - I was at church setting up for the Monday night Ladies Bible study. My daughter, Ansley came and got me. I was so calm. I didn't lose it ~ It probably had something to do with the fact that Andrew had previously 4 years ago, suffered a concussion. When I got to the hospital it was heart wrenching...Andrew had no clue where he was or what was going on. He did however, recognize us even though he could not say my name. He just pointed at me and said "yeah".....makes a Mama proud! Then all he kept saying was "I'm sorry" ...so I decided I would accept all his apologies....in my mind I thought about the times he was not so respectful, or when he was late or didn't give me all the details of what he was doing....Yes, I accepted all his apologies...
Andrew is a special fellow. And the LORD has a mighty BIG calling on his life. I know the struggles in his life are there to make him stronger...kinda like growing pains....they don't feel good, but they make us stronger!! So, we stayed in the hospital overnight and Andrew is feeling much better. Just a slight headache and a little dizzy....But, we're Thanking our Sweet JESUS for HIS protection and provision!! It's all good in the Brother-Hood! AMEN!

Sweet Mother In Love

I was browsing through my pictures on my computer and found this and wanted to share with my Siestas. This is Carolyn Pealock, my husband's Mother. I call her my Mother In-Love! I didn't like calling her my Mother in "law" That sounds so like, we have to...I don't know anyway, love sounds "Mo-better" too me. Carolyn is a very smart lady. She raised one of the finest fellows I know and she let me have him. Don't you just love the background picture. This was taken last November at Lake Yonah.

We had so much fun! Madison and Kendall are the daughters of my Frienda-Jenna! They are dear and special to us Pealock's! It was so precious last night while up to our elbows in flour, icing and sprinkles....Kendall said "It's all Good in the Sista-Hood"! We giggled so much my sides were aching!! It's so sweet to see the little seeds that I've planted take some root!! Here is my final photo...of My man..."Mr Todd" (to Kendall and Madison) They made a cookie for him...it was a smiley face cookie with green eyes and it had red sprinkles for the hair...I couldn't resist taking a photo of all of them...WAY TOO CUTE!!! cookie and all!!
GOD is so good and it's a blessing sharing sweet times!! Hope you will enjoy making cookies real soon!!

Yes, I did indeed feel the love. With my Mother and Nanny there giving me support - it was super-duper!! And my Sista Joyce - well, she drove more than 2 hours to be at the Conference. She blessed my heart! Now I tell you that's a friend! I thank GOD for my family!!

Hey Sweet Siesta Sistas!
Well, I first, want to THANK you for all your prayers over me and for the conference. The LORD was with us the entire day. Each room that the Sistas attended they received a word from GOD! I will NEVER forget this weekend and what it meant to me. Personally, I thought I had complete healing in several areas only to realize that I still had a few hard spots. PRAISE the LORD for HIS faithfulness to me!! I totally understand it !! REVEAL ~ DEAL ~ HEAL!!
