January 1st Memory Verse

January 1, 2009
Psalm 40: 1-3 (New Living Translation)
I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. 2) He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. 3) He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be astounded. They will put their trust in the Lord.

Mission: Christmas Decoration- Complete

Hey Sistas,
All the Christmas decorations have been packed away until November - I always have mixed emotions when I'm putting everything away. I'm happy to get it done, but I don't know, there is just something that gets empty inside of me. I believe it has to do with the fact that my house is bulging at the seams with garland, lights and many many collectibles; and then it looks so empty when the decorations are all gone. It's like a good friend you only see once a year. You spend time together and then when they leave you're sad :( ~~ That's it - I just realized that's how I'm feeling! You may think this is just way too out there, but for those of you who know me....you'll just say..that's Staci for you. Ok...here goes the quirky me....As I put away my sweet Christmas collectibles, tree, garland, etc....I would say "I'll see you in 09" - I know - Weird....But, I'm telling you some of those homemade Christmas ornaments made by my Ansley and Andrew - well, they mean the world to me - just precious priceless treasures....

It's like my relationship with my sweet precious JESUS- HE is the most priceless treasure that I have in my life. HE is all that keeps me - HE is rocking my world - HE gives me new revelation each day - along with with HIS mercies....which by the way I NEED ALL I CAN GET - I have noticed the more I need for me - the more I need to give out....

O.k., I rambling.....got to go do laundry - the Pealock's must stay covered!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
HEY YOU'RE LOOKIN' FINE IN 09!!

Oh, I almost forgot....my guys are going to the Georgia Tech bowl game tonight -
PRAY for their protection and a win :)

Be sweet,
Sista Staci :)

Gatlinburg Trip

Hey Sistas! Everybody ready for Christmas???
I've got a few more presents to purchase and a little more wrapping then I'll be finished!
Todd and I went to Gatlinburg this weekend. We always stay at The Riverhouse in room 53 - it's kinda our little honeymoon hideaway...ssshhhh...don't tell my Mama! We usually go in January for our Anniversary, but we have another trip planned for that time so we went early and did a little shopping. It was a lot of fun.

We stopped by a cute store in Clayton, Ga "Goats on the roof" where there are goats on the roof. It's a precious store and has the sweetest people working there. You can feed the goats by raising a can up the side of the building. See the picture of me and the little goat waiting for the food.

Then as we went over the mountain from Cherokee to Gatlinburg we encounter cold temps and a lot of snow...Todd kept stopping and making me get out of the car for a photo opp...well, I had my seat warmers on a.k.a. "Rump Roasters" and I did not want to get out of the car....but, he won and here are a few pictures....

Then on Saturday we did a lot walking in town and that is always fun.

Home on Sunday - and I'm getting ready for my Christmas party week...

YAY!!! Sistas are a comin' on Thursday for breakfast -----

Love ewe,
Sista Staci

Tis so sweet to trust in JESUS

When Ansley was in Kindergarten she went to a private Christian school. Where she learned so many of the hymns that I love. One in particular is the above - Tis so sweet to trust in JESUS! Trust is a precious thing that happens in our lives. Some of the ways we learned to trust - jumping off the sides of a swimming pool into the secure safety of our parents arms - how about falling backwards into someone arms (I never could do this) - whatever it has been that taught you to trust I'm sure like me there have been many things that have broken trust. Hence we then have our "trust issues" What is this? Trust issues? I've heard this over and over as of late and I kinda get it but, not totally. Yes, I have been hurt and disappointed by someone very close to me and trust has been broken. But just that broken - some thing that is broken, well it can mend. It does take work and I believe that is why we have our "trust issues" we chose not to allow ourselves to mend after we've been hurt. Oh, yes, I get the tough Sista routine....I've been there done that and got the T-shirt - I can say that does not mend you...you may have a hard spot of protection, but you're not healed.

So, is there healing after broken trust?? YES, SISTA!! YES!!!

Our sweet precious LORD can take our broken beaten and battered heart and turn it into beautiful - only HE can do this in us and through us.

Do I hear you asking how can I be healed? It's simple - really!

Proverbs 3:5-6 (one of my life verse)
TRUST in the LORD with ALL your HEART and lean not unto your OWN understanding, but in ALL your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your path!

Easy, uh??? Not always, but totally necessary if we want to get rid of our "trust issues"!

O.k. - I'm going to share something that the LORD taught me many many years ago and I can honestly say it changed something inside of me...
When we are faced with people that have hurt us that are of the faith what are we do to? GOD sees it all - ALL!! First, hit your knees and get rid of the offense - then TRUST - yes, Sista! TRUST the LORD - you may not trust the person, but you can TRUST the GOD inside of the person. Get it? If GOD is LARGE and in CHARGE - YOU can TRUST- and we all know...
Tis so sweet to TRUST IN JESUS!!

~Sweet Surrender ~

O.k. - Well, here's the deal - GOD has been Revealing, Dealing and Healing me! Thank you, JESUS! So, in m y journey with JESUS - I've had to take a few glimpse back into my childhood. You know sometimes you can't move forward until you go back. Well, as I've been on my journey I have uncovered some really neat things about me. One being I have always been a rare bird - Just plain out quirky! When I was younger I thought something was "Bad-the-matter" with me because I just didn't "fit" in with the crowd. I want to share one of my childhood quirky memories. Well while most girls loved Donny Osmond (I did like him and I do still have my Donny Osmond lunch box) I totally loved John Denver. QUIRKY!! My grandmother Lois had a stereo system - you know with the big record player, radio and cassette player....well, she had an extra feature on her system - guess what it was???? You guessed it....HEAD PHONES!! They were BIG and black and totally covered my head, but I loved them. I would plug those babies in and lay in the floor and listen for hours to John Denver. I would sing along and well, you know that never works out when you're wearing headphones because - well, it just doesn't. But, Oie Poie (we call her Nanny today) she would tell me you sound so "purdy" and well, I would sing louder and louder...yep. me and good ole John Denver!! QUIRKY!!! I totally get it - Once Quirky always Quirky! I am my Father's daughter - Sista Quirky - Nice to meet you! So flash forward to this morning....I am at my computer digging in scripture trying to soak up all I can about surrendering to GOD! Laying down my want(s) and will(s) - As I do this I pray LORD please give me "Sweet Surrender" and so being the computer nerd that I am - I googled Sweet Surrender...and well, GUESS WHAT????? Good Ole John Denver popped up on You Tube....singing...YES, one of my favorites....Sweet Surrender!!!! WHOA!!!! I had totally forgotten about this song! Well, I could not resist....I had to share with you and you get a double doozie because there is an interview about the song and also...ready for this...He also sings.....DRUM ROLL PPPLLLEEAASSEEEEE - Country Roads!! I LOVE IT!! So, without further ado.....HERE'S JOHNNY.......

SNOWING!!!

Little specks of snow....It's cold here in Demorest!!

Freedom in the FIRE!!

Hey Sistas!
I have had a wonderful day with my sweet JESUS! HE has been revealing to me so many precious things! I love it when HE wraps HIS loving arms around me and allows me to melt like butter in HIS arms! It is HIS hearts desire that we run to his arms and love on HIM. I encourage you today - STOP and LOVE on JESUS!! HE will give you new revelations for your life! Be BLESSED!!!
It's ALL good in the Sista-Hood!

When the Hebrew children were faced with the fire they had done nothing wrong. Their choice to worship GOD and to be faithful caused them to face a fire. As Christians, we too can find ourselves facing huge fires when we have been walking in obedience to the LORD.So what do you do when you are facing the fire? STAY FAITHFUL!! We must focus on the FATHER! If you are in the fire at this moment- you can find freedom! GOD will remove the chains that hold you bondage -just like he did for the Hebrew children.Their chains we removed by the fire – you can have freedom as you to walk through the fire – focus on the FATHER!! You will NOT smell like smoke!
