What is FAITH?

This morning GOD is really showing me a lot about Faith. In Hebrews 11 there is a vast supply of FAITH. It is both encouraging and challenging to me. I just want to share a little with you today.

Hebrews 11:1 What is FAITH? It is the confident assurance that what we HOPE for is going to happen. It is the EVIDENCE of things we CANNOT see. 2) GOD gave his APPROVAL to people in days of old because of their FAITH...not there ability to look good to others or have CONTROL of their situations in life.

Hebrews 11:6 It is IMPOSSIBLE to please GOD without FAITH!

The examples given in this passage cover most every area of our lives today.

11:4 - Abel brought a more acceptable offering - FAITH over FINANCES

11:7 Noah built an ark in preparation of the flood, when it had NEVER rained - FAITH over  FAILURE

11:8 Abraham left his home and traveled t another land - FAITH to FOLLOW

11:11 Sarah barren and old gave birth - FAITH over FAMILY

11:17 Abraham offered Issac - FAITH over FIRE

11:20 Issac blessed his sons - FAITH over  the FUTURE

11:22 Joseph confidently spoke of God bringing the people of Israel out of Egypt (years before it happened) FAITH over FREEDOM!

Sistas, we serve a GOD who is BIG enough, RICH enough, STRONG enough, SMART enough, TRUSTWORTHY enough to place our FAITH upon!

Lord, I pray that you increase our faith. YOU alone are worthy!
