Am I Walking by Faith or Flesh??

So many times I have to stop and ask myself this very question, Am I walking by my flesh or faith? I know for a fact that my flesh gets in the way often enough. When I am facing difficult situations or decisions, it is this little test that helps me follow the leading of the Lord.

My Flesh is self seeking
My Faith is Self less

My Flesh is greedy
My Faith is Giving

My Flesh struggles
My Faith is Strong

My Flesh falters
My Faith Never Fails

My Flesh says "it's all about my way"
My Faith says "it's all about Yahweh"

Galatians 2:20

²⁰I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I give myself away....freely just as Jesus did for me. Looking for nothing in return from anyone. I walk out my life totally surrendered to the only one that matters. He takes all the ugliness of the flesh and make it something beautiful...by FAITH!

Anything we allow Him to use, HE will not abuse! Trust God, my sweet Sistas with everything you have and with your whole heart. HE will never misuse or mislead you. HE is good all the time!

GOD is Enough

As Christians, we do not have a blanket promise that we will have everything we want. Instead, this is David's praise for God's goodness- all those who call upon God in their need will be answered, sometimes in unexpected way.
Remember, God knows what we need, and our deepest needs are spiritual. Many Christians, even though they face unbearable poverty and hardship, still have enough spiritual nourishment to live for God. David was saying that if you have God, you have all you really need. GOD IS ENOUGH!
If you feel you don't have everything you need, ask
(1) Is this really a need?
(2) Is this really good for me?
(3) Is this the best time for me to have what I desire?

Even if you answer yes to all three questions, God may allow you to go without to help you grown more dependent on him. He may want you to learn that you need HIM more than you need you immediate desires met.
God promises to be "close to the brokenhearted" and to be our source of power, courage, and wisdom, helping us through our problems. When trouble strikes, don't get frustrated with God. Instead, admit that you need God's help and thank him for being by your side.

Psalm 34
1 I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
2 I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.
3 Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
let us exalt his name together.

4 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.

Wayward Wasp

I love how the Lord teaches me simple lessons through nature. This morning I was sitting at the kitchen table watching my bird feeders. Just then, I spied a wasp flying around the feeder. As I watched the wasp it would fly up and around and then land for a second and then fly around a little more. Once it landed on the opening of the finch feeder (which is rather small) and I watched it walk into the feeder. I said out loud “don’t go in there.” It was too late it was trapped. For the next ten minutes I observed the wasp trying to find freedom.

What are the lessons?

First, the wasp had no business being around a bird feeder. Just like Christians, there are places that we should never go around. It’s a trap that will ensnare us every time. It may look harmless enough and might even afford a little fun, but in the end it’s a trap.

Then once we are imprisoned, we frantically try to find our own way out. I kept waiting for the wasp to settle down and fly down and find the little opening that brought him into the place. But, to my dismay he did not ever settle down long enough to go back where he started.

Sounds like me sometimes, we I find myself in a self made prison. I am looking for the way out on my own strength and knowledge. I will calm down for a little while, only to find myself spinning out of control once again.

The wasp would stop and walk the sides of the bird feeder and almost get to the opening. And just when I thought he was finally going to find freedom, he would start flying all over again. I can so relate, always going back to what I thought works. Trying to find freedom, but when it does not appear to be happening, I lose patience, give up and go back to doing what comes natural. And usually that has something to do with walking in the flesh and not the Spirit of God.

Another thing I observed while the wasp was trapped. There were other wasps flying freely by the bird feeder. I’ve been there just like the wasp, in my self made prison; watching others operating in freedom. This place can make or break you. Meaning that when you see others being free, you will either have a desire to go after it or you will have disdain for the person that has freedom. But, what we all need to know is WE ARE CALLED TO BE FREE! Freedom is for everyone, but freedom ain’t free. It will cost you something.

So, are you wondering about the fate of the wasp?

Just like we have someone larger watching over us, the wasp did to. I waited about fifteen minutes before I approached the bird feeder. And then I unscrewed the top and lifted the lid and the Wayward Wasp was free at last.

Just like God did for me. He lifted me out of my self made prison and gave me freedom.And I love him for it, and try my best to stay away from the things that trap me up.

God has been teaching me to yield to His ways. We have been in Disney World this past week. And I was continually yielding the right of way to baby strollers, wheel chairs, people in a hurry, people standing looking at maps, people not paying attention, little kids screaming, people pushing through the line and the list goes on. So here's the deal....God teaches me His ways through daily occurrences. I had to make a choice during the past week, actually several times. The choice to be kind and courteous or to demand my way. Since Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit, the choice was obvious. But, I'm going to be transparent and honest here. Putting myself last has not always be my first choice. You see, Todd and I took our children to Disney in 1995; and I was one of those people in a hurry afraid I was going to miss out or yet, my "Children" was going to miss something or the ride would be gone before we got there. We watched our video from our trip and I was always 5 or 10 steps ahead of my family. Rushing around, stressed out and caught up trying to create the perfect Disney vacation, all the while I was making my family miserable.
I could not live in the moment. I did not yield my right of way to Jesus. Trusting him to direct my paths.

God has taught me so much over the past sixteen years. Yielding is Trusting. I'll share an example. This will seem very simplictic, but I believe it serves the point well. I was standing in a l o n g food line at Disney; hundreds of people all around with limited seating. I started getting that anxious feeling inside of me..."What about a table, What am I going to do...blah blah blah" - immeidtaely, I heard "Do you trust me?" Sure, I do Lord! "Well, don't you think I can have a table prepared for you?" "YES, I DO, LORD!!!" Instantly, my anxiousness was gone! Todd and I found the perfect table (in the shade) and enjoyed our lunch. Yet again....GOD is LARGE and in CHARGE!!

Just a quick shout out to my sweet children.

Ansley Marie, is 21 years old. She completed college in three years and is teaching at TLS Primary a private Christan school. She is a hard worker, very focused and dedicated to the Lord. She is also, getting her Master's degree from Piedmont College...and planning her wedding. She has so much going on right now, but God is in control. Ansley is very organized and so creative. God has giving her many gifts and she uses them for His glory. It is amazing - the favor of the Father is upon her life. I am so proud of you, Ansley-Girl!

Andrew Miles, is 19 years old. He is in college at Lee University. Andrew has a servants heart and I love that about him. If he sees someone in need, he will do everything in his power to fix it. I have missed terribly this summer. He has been doing a Minsitry intership at Adairsville Church of God. He worked four youth camps and one inter City camp. He also, just returned from being out of the country on a missions trip to Panama. He enjoyed ministering in the orphanage. I watched a video of Andrew and a little boy; Andrew was hold his guitar and the little fellow was strumming while Andrew played the notes. The look on this child's face was priceless. I am so proud of you Androodle!

I know that GOD'S word does not return void. When you train a child in the way it should go, it will not depart. I praise my precious Lord! HE has done GREAT things! Greater things are yet to come.....

Pressing In and Moving On

Life can be full of surprises, good ones and not so good ones. Even so, we have a choice. When the unexpected things happens, we can run and hide, pitch a royal fit, or endure. I have to confess that some time or another, I have reacted in all three of the above ways, and sometimes all three at once. But, I can truly say, that having endurance is the key to walking through a trial. I've learned not to pray for patience, because it will bring on opportunities to be tested. I pray for endurance, to press through the mess.

I firmly believe, every day that we live, God brings us opportunities to grow closer to Him, to pursue Him for the deeper things. Recently, I've had an opportunity of rejection. My same ole' song and dance. The feeling of not being part of the "Club." My first reaction was to put up a wall and say who needs it, but then the Lord reminded me that he was rejected and he kept on loving. And I know that I am accepted by my heavenly Father. It is so easy to get distracted on things that we may not have and totally ignore what is right under our nose.

So, how do I feel now? At peace - I know that GOD is LARGE and in CHARGE of my steps. And if He wanted me to be part of a certain group, then I would have been. I accept HIS ways for me. Lord knows, if I was left up to my own ways it would not be a pretty site.

Lord, I'm Amazed by You

I am truly amazed by my sweet Lord. He has a purpose and reason for everything in my life. Over the last six months or so, I have been praying a "Destiny Prayer" - it goes something like this. Lord, I know you had this day planned for me long before I was born. I'm asking you to direct my steps where you predestined them to go. I have been totally amazed! I have seen so many pieces of life's puzzle fitting together for me.

I want to share what happened just yesterday to me. I had four people I wanted to visit at Northeast Georgia Medical center. I am a creature of habit, so I like to park in or around the same parking place (this helps me remember where I parked). I entered the South Tower of the hospital, with my hot pink posted note with all the name listed. I begin to ask what room is this one in, etc..Well, it turned out that all but one of the patients were located in the North Tower. Which is fine with me, however, I had prayed about what order to visit in. So, GOD made that decision easy for me...I'm in the South Tower, so I'll go here first.

This is where GOD really showed HIS power. I went to the the room located on the cancer floor and when I arrived the door was closed. I went to the nurses desk, to ask if I could go in for a visit. Just so happened that the nurse was in the room. I went back down the hall and waited until she opened the door. It's all about timing.

When I entered the room I met the husband to this precious lady. His eyes were a little worried and I quickly told him I knew his daughter and that I attended church with her. He smiled real big and said come on in. The nurse was working in the room and what I did not realize at the time was the bag of blood that she was preparing for this precious sister. I went beside the bed
and quickly learned that because of low blood count, that the blood was an neccessity.

Before I knew what I was saying, it came out of my mouth "There is power in the blood.' I look at the bag of blood hanging on the IV pole and watched as it slowly made it's way down the narrow tubing that was leading to the arm of my precious sister. I asked her "would you like to pray as it enters your body." Immediately, she said "YES!" We prayed and peace of our healer, Jesus Christ filled the room. I felt the power of the Lord all over me. It was one of the most divine things I have ever experienced. I wanted to cry, laugh and shout all at the same time. And I think my new Sister friend did also.

I am nothing special. God is no respector of person. What he'll do through one, he'll do through another. I thank Him everyday for allowing me the privilege to serve HIM. I strive daily to be the hand, heart and feet of JESUS!

HE is truly AMAZING!

IT'S HERE!!!

Tomorrow is almost here. And I can't tell you how excited I am about Divine Design being held at The Torch. Sistas, this is my HOME church. We've been out on the road with Divine Design for almost a year; taking the message to other churches. And here it is....time for my church. I have to say that my anticipation has jumped up a level - I believe this is for several reasons. It's like being on vacation and you're on the drive home and you turn onto the street where you live...you're coming home - you know, the place that is so familiar, it smells like you, it's decorated like you and it's..well, it's HOME. Nothing like HOME!
Well, I'd love to be able to type forever, but GOD is calling me....

Blog Fog

So, this is a new term for me. It may already be in the blogging world, however I personally have never heard it. For me "Blog Fog" means wanting to share something on my blog, but just not taking the time to write it all down. Hence,I say nothing.

So, I'm trying to lift the fog and let you all know what is going on in my life. Always an adventure in the Sista-Hood :)

Where do I start? Maybe at the beginning of the year...
January - The LAMBS ministry held a Divine Design at Life Church. We had around 40 ladies present. This day the Lord took over my notes and I shared things from my personal testimony that I'd never shared before....just lovely, I thought these ladies are going to think I'm a horrible person, but only God can take your mess and make it your message. Thank you, Jesus! At the closing, Sara Arro brought a challenging word to the Sistas "Why are you here"? Lives were touched and changed.

February - My Ansley celebrated her 21st Birthday and got engaged! Almost, too much for this Mama to handle. Bible study got up and running with 125 ladies enrolled. I coordinated and attended both Monday nights and Tuesday Mornings (and I had prefect attendance). I got out of my comfort zone, with the Monday Night Mamas - I prepared a meal for them each week, I believe this was key to our attendance. We enjoyed blessed food physically and spiritually. Our Ministry Team traveled to Winder and held Divine Design at First United Methodist in Winder - It was special and again God did not let us down. He brought the message through Lisa Frost "What do you do when your house falls apart"? Great Word!

March - Bible study consumed most of my time. The Lord greatly enlarged my territory.
The door opened for me to engaged in several hands on ministry projects. We have been collecting items for the inmates in our local jail through "Breaking Chains" ministry. These items will be given away at Christmas on an Angel Tree. LAMBS was the feature guest on WRAF radio, in order to promote the upcoming conference at The House of Prayer. Kathy Nicholson also wrote an article about us "Designing Women" featured in the Northeast Georgian. The conference was wonderful. Many Sistas received breakthrough over bondage they had carried in their hearts for years. Too GOD be all the glory. I brought the closing message "Don't rearrange the furniture". The days was absolutely Divine!

April - Where did it go? Todd celebrated his 45th b-day ~ Yay, Mr. Todd! I love to call him Mr. Todd - this all started from our Sunday school class at church. You see we teach 4th and 5th graders. He called me Sister Staci and I'd say Brother Todd, well we confused the students because they thought we were really brother and sister. How funny!! Can you say..Generation Gap??? So, know he is Mr. Todd and I'm Sista Staci. April....took LAMBS to Clayton, Georgia to Persimmon Church of God. Let me just say it's a long and winding road to PCOG. I love those sweet precious ladies. We had a Holy Spirit outpouring and many lives we touched. Only the mighty hand of God can move the mountain. Sara Arro brought the closing message "The temple of God". She passed out brown bags to all the ladies and asked them to hold them until she directed them to open and remove what was inside. She told us about the temple of God and then say there is another temple we should take care of and pleasure in...open your bag. Inside was a mirror - YOU are the temple of God. You could hear the ladies gasp, they were not expecting that. God is so good!

May - Whoa...already. Ansley graduated Magnum Cum Laud from Truett McConnell College. And she had a teaching job at The Little school in CLarkesville. She will be teaching 4th and 5th graders. Bible study finished up with 87 ladies strong. This is awesome! I have been in the middle of Wedding planning with Ansley. She said Yes to the dress...YAY~ it is gorgeous - I did not cry when I saw it on her. I cried later when we celebrated at lunch. It took a minute for it all the hit me. "MY GIRL IS GETTING MARRIED"!!! I have been studying for my Church of God Exhorter's License. I will take the test in July. Life is sweet!

Andrew update: Andrew is doing a summer Ministry Internship at Adaisville Church of God. He is getting to work inside and outside the church. This past Sunday he went to the Homeless Mission in downtown Atlanta. He played his guitar and gave his testimony. He loves working with the youth and playing his guitar for P/W on Sunday.
God is transforming his life as He daily gives of himself to others.

Well, I do feel like the blog Fog has lifted a little. Our next Divine Design will be held at The Torch on July 10 - an open invitation to all. Just RSVP to me.

JESUS or BUST!

I remember my Fifth grade trip to St. Augustine Florida. Someone made a sign and placed it in the rear window of the Trailways bus that said "Florida or Bust!" I had never heard this phrase before and I ask "What does that mean?" The answer came; you want that more than anything and nothing will stand in your way to get to your destination. Oh, well...alrighty then.

As, I've been pondering today...see I can sit still long enough to ponder. I thought about my destination. And it hit me JESUS or BUST! I will not let anything, or anyone stand in my way from arriving at my destination.

Recently, I've been saying a new prayer in the morning. I heard this from a friend. She share it from a book called"Prayers that Availeth Much." This prayer speaks of our daily destination. I thought about this a lot and looked up the scripture again in Romans that speaks about "Pre-destination" and I have to admit that I've always viewed this particular verse on predestination in the context of my final destination.

Romans 8:29-30 (New International Version)

²⁹For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. ³⁰And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

However, recently as I've been praying in the morning about my day, and I ask Jesus to be with me and I've be saying "Lord, please allow me to follow whatever you have predestine my day to be." This has been a new revelation to me. I can see the hand of God working in my live; like never before. Knowing HE has always had a plan for me on this day...long before there was a Staci Lynne Holland Pealock - just blowing my mind - I tell you...BLOWING MY MIND!!

I want to encourage you...take time and Invite God to show you; your " Daily Pre-Destination" God is a gentlemen, he wants to be invite in, all we have to do is ask Him and HE will answer.

God is good all the time ~

Life has been traveling at rapid speed for me these last few months. I wanted to take a few minutes and share just what's been going on in my quirky life.

In January Todd and I celebrated our 24th Wedding Anniversary. We started dating when I was 15 years old. He says he follows Biblical teachings...raise them up in the way and when there old they will not depart. He's to funny!
Also, our ministry team held a Divine Design conference at Life Church in Baldwin, Georgia. We had a wonderful day. I got to meet so many wonderful Sistas and the Lord was there with us in a mighty special way.
On to February....the Month of LOVE! Yes, sir indeed! My precious daughter Ansley Marie turned 21 on Valentine's day - I cannot believe that my little girl has gown up so quickly. She also got engaged to Jared Micah Green. We are all very excited and looking forward to what God has in store for their lives. Ansley also passed the GACE - Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators. She will be actively pursuing a teaching position. I know God has just the right place for her.
Andrew is loving college life at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. I miss him like crazy; especially at night when every thing is settling down. I think to myself where is my boy? I guess I'm like the Mama Hen needing to gather all her chicks inside the coop.
We also had a Divine Design Conference in Winder, Georgia at the First United Methodist church. We had a wonderful day. The Lord truly blessed our hearts and Sista Lisa Frost shared a word from the Lord with us..."What do you do when your house falls apart?" It was a blessed day through and through.
And I also had the privilege and honor to speak to a group of precious Sistas from Glory Baptist Church. The Lord did a real special work in the hearts of these wonderful ladies. After all, His word will not return void. And He that started a good work, will be faithful to complete it!
So, that brings us to March - lots of Snow this week in the Northeast Georgia mountains. It was beautiful and it slow things down for me a bit. But, my feet are up and running once again. God has work for me to do. And I so very honored and thankful that he has called me to work for Him.
Oh, yes...Bible study at The Torch is AMAZING! I'm loving the Monday night Mamas - We prepare dinner for them each week and have a 6 O'clock Snak-N-Yak - This has been a BIG hit with our Women. I am so proud of them. They work outside their homes all day and then give time to the Bible study each week. Several of the ladies told me they "cannot wait to attend and it is a blessed way to start off their week." I love it! I still hold my coordinating position on Tuesday Morning Bible study- these ladies bless my heart for many reasons. I love the Sista-Hood! We have on average 100 ladies attending between both classes. Yay!

Breaking Free

Hey Sistas!
Whew - Christmas is over and New Year's was ushered in with a BIG BANG at The Pealock house. I mean that literally, Andrew and Todd purchased several fireworks. I stood outside on the front porch and my entire body shook and then all these little pieces of black stuff fell all over me...the boys loved it. I don't know what it is about guys and BIG LOUD SOUNDS....oh well, I will never understand.

So, here's the deal. We are preparing for Breaking Free Bible study at The Torch. With that I have to decide about the decorations and the theme. The Lord always gives me a vision of what to do and this time is no exception. I have the what...it's just the how. Here is where you come in. I need one of two things -
1) One word to described what God has set you free from/or what you are struggling with.

If your Annoyed – get Anointed.

You may be Bitter, but Jesus makes you Better.

Have you been criticized? Turn it around and make it Christ sized.

Depression – He Defeats!

Evil turns into Encouragement.

For Fear, He says have Faith while you wait.

Garbage in / Garage Out – GOD in / GOD out!

That Hurt He Heals!

Think you’re going Insane, only Imagine!

He takes our Junk and turns them into Jewels.

That enemy that tries to Kill, God will Keep away.

He takes Lies and gives Love.

Turns Madness in to Mercy.

All your Nasty is New.

Oppression meets Opportunities

and Life’s Pressures become a Pleasure.

No Questions asked….You are a Queen.

Rejection walks in Redemption.

Heavy Heart - God knows

Today has been a difficult day for me. I really don't have to give the details, just trust me when I say I have struggled all day long. It seems that whenever I have a conference schedule that the week of I have something major to happen. I think it is God's way of showing me that I have to have complete and total dependency on him. Which I believe I am aware of that, but God continues to show me over and over that I can't do what He has called of me without him. And I would not even try!!

So, today I have been at home most of the day by myself. I did go to the soup kitchen for a little while, but I had to leave. I was of no use to myself let alone anyone else. I knew in my heart if I came home I could at least find comfort. And after a good cry, and feeling sorry for myself I stood up and shook myself and realized that GOD is LARGE and in CHARGE!! Actually, someone called and my answering machine message played out loud and that's when I heard my voice saying those words too me! At first, I wanted to throw a pillow at the machine, but then I thought to myself..it doesn't matter what I am facing...GOD is LARGE and in CHARGE!! and Sista Staci you do not have to be!! Praise the LORD ~ I am not in charge!

I do not have to "fix" this....I do not have to "control" the outcome....I do not have to "understand it"!! I just have to obey what GOD calls of me!! If I do my best; GOD will do the rest!

I love JESUS with all my heart and I'm so glad that he is my friend...and while I love the Sista-hood...JESUS is a friend that sticks closer than a Sista.....and that makes me feel mo-better!!

Journey to JESUS

That is the title I like to write on my journals. Life is a journey, with many bumps, turns and twist along the way. One minute you can be traveling as you keep a steady pace, then all of a sudden you find yourself hitting the brakes! I love my life - I love it when everything is working together, yes, for MY good! But, on this journey to JESUS; He is teaching me that it is not the mountain top that I should desire in my life. It is the valley. You may ask "Why in the world would you want to be in the valley?" I have to admit I've ask myself and God that same question.

For years, I've struggled through the valley - noticed I said "through" - getting on the other side of a valley is victorious! That means you have climbed the mountain and made progress. I have learned so many things through the valley of life. One thing is I will not die there - Jesus walks with me and tells me things in the valley that I will never hear on the mountain top. Secondly, growth is a sure thing in the valley. Have you ever noticed that gardens are planted in the "bottoms" (termed used by my grandfather for his garden). Good things are grown and produced in the valley. Philippians 1:6 (NLT)⁶ And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Traveling through on this Journey to JESUS - let's sum it up. One day you may run with leaps and bounds, while other days maybe a crawl. Just always keep pressing through the mess - keep a forward moving motion.

I believe with all my heart that God wants to show us that HE is in control. Praise the LORD if you find yourself in a position of total dependency on GOD. That is what HE wants - if we could handle "it" all, we would not need him to be GOD, King of Kings over our lives. Let Go and Let GOD be GOD!! There is Victory in your Valley!! Hallelujah~

Don't set the cruise control - set the Christ control!!

I want to encourage you to journal about your journey to JESUS. Write it all down,,,the good, bad, ugly, happy or sad - then you can reflect on how God was faithful through it all - you learned to trust God - through it all!

5 reasons for Blog Bust!!

Good Morning!
As I looked through my past post, I realize that I have missed so many opporunities to share what God has been doing in my life and the lives of those around me. My thought today is to play catch up with my blog. It appears that I started falling off the Blog Bandwagon right around the month of August, which is probably a true assessment of my life.

In July, I started a ministry program through my church called CAMS (Calling and Ministry Seminars) this program is for all people who have a call to the ministry. Which I failed to mention happened to me in February of this year. With CAMS I've had to STUDY! It's be a l o n g time since my brain had to do this with any structure. So reason # 1 for Blog Bust!

August, 2009 Me and the ministry Team from LAMBS (Love And Ministry Between Sistas) held our first Divine Design Conference in Winder, Georgia. It was GOD all the way! I stayed on my knees almost as much as I walked upright. (Well, maybe that's a bit exaggerated, but I did pray and not play a lot during that time). God redirected my son's life and Andrew started college at Lee University - he enrolled, got accepted and started classes in three weeks. My head was spinning- Reason #2 for Blog Bust!

Septemeber rolled around and I'm still studying and taking TEST - now that is a four letter dirty word!! My CAMS classes are every other month, however I have self directed study at home - I am not easily self directed - nuff said! Bible study at The Torch and Life Church up an going. Reason #3 for Blog bust!

October, 2009 The Divine Design minisry Team traveled to Hobe Sound, Florida. It was an 11 hour trip one way! We went to the Tommie Zito 10th anniversary Camp Meeting. Bishop Steve Brown prayed over our ministry team and set us forth to do God's work. Yes, I turned 43 during this month. Took my 3rd CAMS test - still not real thrilled with being self directed. Reason #4 for Blog Bust!

Novemeber,2009 COMPLETED CAMS!! I've already finished 135 Christmas Cards - about 100 more to go. This past weekend I was at The Desperate for God Women's Conference (with a cold). God spoke a word into me - I cannot balance it all on my pedestal - Oh yes...and it's HOLIDAY TIME - Reason #5 for Blog Bust!

I can truly say that I am BUSTED!! Through the past months I have learned to say "no" to people and things. Just because it may be a good idea doesn't mean it's a GOD idea! I have been learning the difference between good and GOD and let me just say "O" me......that little o can mean o so much....o my goodness...o I just can't....o my aching back - get the picture???

The word says that the earth is his foot stool, we are truly at his feet. The way UP is down. Place yourself on God's pedestal and allow him to direct you with his GOD ideas and opportunities.

I have missed you, Sista-Hood!! Thanks for loving me in the lean times! Sometimes we Glean and sometimes we Lean, through it all GOD is still LARGE and in CHARGE!!

Godliness with Contentment

When I was younger I never felt like I belonged anywhere. I'm not 100% sure why or how this feeling developed in me. All I know is, that's how I felt the majority of the time. As I sit here, and reflect on those younger years, I realize that with the sense of not belonging in this world, it developed a heart of contentment inside of me.

The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 6:6

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

What does it mean to be content?

Let's check with Webster's.

Content:

1 : to appease the desires of

2 : to limit (oneself) in requirements, desires, or actions

To appease is to bring a state of peace and quiet. I guess that means I can't go around yelling "What about MEEEEE?" And to limit oneself.....ok, well, that doesn't work in today society. As I look around I see more and more people searching and seeking for more stuff to satisfy them. Only to be caught in a web of debt and disappointment.

Godliness with contentment is great gain! YES!

Walk in the ways of our Lord, seek him to bring that contentment to your life - that place of peace and quiet. I often say you cannot bottle peace, but when you have peace flowing through you there is no reason to contain it. Let go and let peace flow.

Look to Jesus for He is the Peacemaker. He can fill you with contentment! Wherever or whatever state you're in, you can be content.

Do I still have that sense of not belonging? Sure, I do. But, it has turned into a sense of longing to be in the presence of the Lord. For I know this world is not my home - I'm merely passing through. Until that day I will actively....

Pursue PEACE!

Self Promoting....I don't think so

^{I have a routine each morning when I wake up. First thing I always say "Good Morning, sweet Jesus...How are you today?" On Tuesday morning, I plainly heard go read Luke 2:20. I immediately got up and went to my New Living Bible and read.... Luke 2:}²⁰ The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.

Ok...I thought what does this have to do with me???? Then as I read verse nineteen the Lord revealed to my heart what He was speaking to me. This passage is out of the Message Bible:

Luke 2: 19-20 - Message

Mary kept all these things to herself, holding them dear, deep within herself. The sheepherders returned and let loose, glorifying and praising God for everything they had heard and seen. It turned out exactly the way they'd been told!

I have never thought about this aspect of the birth of Jesus. Mary did not go out in the streets proclaiming herself as the chosen one!! She did not self promote. She pondered all these things in her heart. I love that. The NIV says "she thought of them often." When God shows up in your life, people will noticed it. There will be no need for a tweet on tweeter or a post on Facebook. Your Life, speaks louder than your words.

Recently, I had an encounter where someone said to me "you don't want to self promote" Well, to be honest I had never even thought about self promoting. When you choose to die to yourself and you put all your wants and desires under God's plan there is no "Self Promoting." God does promote his children. He see the willing heart and teachable Spirit within you. He is looking for someone that will allow him access so He can do great and mighty things to show the world that HE IS!!

I appreciate that person who spoke those words to me. It has caused me to examine my heart and motivates. As a minister, I must believe in the product I'm selling 100%. In God's business, it is a good thing to be completely "souled out!"

Laundry Room: That place of worn, dirty linen; the load of burdens we all carry within. Lay down your load and allow the LORD to wash you white as snow.

Dining Room: The place of hospitality: Open your heart to service. Find a place of servitude for the LORD and dine on the meat of HIS WORD.

For the last 4 years she has coordinated the Ladies Bible Study at her home church, seeing it grow from 12 to over 100 in attendance. Under Gamaliel I was thoroughly trained in the law of our fathers and was just as zealous for God as any of you are today. 4I persecuted the followers of this Way to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing them into prison, 5as also the high priest and all the Council can testify. Relate ~ Deflate ~ Infiltrate:
When Paul addressed the people he always tried to establish common ground with the people before he launched a full scale defense of Christianity. When you witness for Christ, first identify yourself with your audience. They are much more likely to listen if they feel a common bond with you. After Paul gained this common ground, he gave his personal testimony. Sound reasoning is good, but it is also important to simply share what Christ has done in your life. We can never underestimate the power of experience. I believe that is why GOD allows us to experience heartache, hurt and maybe shame for some of the thing we have been involved in. God can take all of these dark experiences and turn them into a light for him. When GOD delivers you from darkness into HIS marvelous light, you want everyone around you to have the light. Yes, it is as easy as turning on the light switch. Turn on your faith. But no matter how we present the message, not everyone will accept it, as Paul knew. We must faithfully and responsibly present the Good News and leave the result to GOD.

I call this process; Relate – Deflate – Infiltrate! Relate to the person you are witnessing to(common ground), allow yourself to deflate (It’s not all about you) so that GOD can infiltrate and do the work necessary to bring salvation and healing to the soul.

Be a witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. You may be the only JESUS some will see.

Paul's Vision of the Man of Macedonia

⁶Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. ⁷When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. ⁸So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. ⁹During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." ¹⁰After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

YES/NO – STAY/GO??

We don’t know how the Holy Spirit told Paul that he and his companions should not go into Asia. It may have been through a prophet, a vision, an inner conviction, or some other circumstance. To know God’s will does not mean we must hear his voice. He leads in different ways. When you are seeking God’s will, (1) make sure your plain is in harmony with God’s word, (2) ask mature Christians for their advice;(3) check your own motives- are you seeking to do what you want or what you think God wants? – and (4) pray for God to open and close the doors as he desires. 16:7-9 The “Spirit of Jesus” is another name for the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit had closed the door twice for Paul, so Paul must have wondered which geographical direction to take in spreading the Good News. Then in a vision (16:9), Paul was given definite direction, and he and his companions obediently traveled onto Macedonia. The Holy Spirit guides us away from the wrong places. As we seek God’s will, it is important to know what God wants us to do and where he wants us to go, but it is equally important to know what God does not want us to do and where he does not want us to go. (Life Application Commentary)

Many times we find ourselves in this sort of dilemma. Do we take the job and move our family out of town? Is this the person God wants me to marry? We all face issues in life where we must make decisions. When we are walking closely with the Lord, we will know His directives for our lives. God is always speaking to His children. It is His desire to be in close fellowship.

Stop and listen today, Hear what God has to Say He will show you the way, And make everything OK!

Where ever you are traveling, the word of God is your road map. Seek it for all your directions. I promise, you will never have to worry about being not be lost!

Help Wanted!

GOD revealed to me this morning during my personal devotion. In Matthew, (v18) we see Peter and Andrew going about their daily routine in life. They were probably engaged in a task that had performed numerous times. Then, in an instance everything changed for them. No longer were they Fishing for fish, but for men. Jesus came by with a "Help Wanted" sign. And they responded. Today, as I apply this to my life and ministry I see how this is relevant in my life. I, too was performing a task (vacuuming) I had done numerous times when GOD called me. I heard that still small voice asking me to carry a message of Freedom in the FATHER to wounded woman. I have experienced much freedom and from my experiences I can teach the message that GOD taught me. Like Peter and Andrew they went from fisherman of fish to fisherman of men. (v20) We too must lay down our nets (desires) and follow the call of GOD!

Answer the call of GOD, nothing else will satisfy the longing of your soul. Go fishing today!

Sista Leah Adams

This month marks my one year anniversary with the blogging world. I have truly enjoyed all the aspects of blogging. Especially, the connectivity in which it offers. Blogging bring a human connection to our lives, now that's a new slogan if I've ever heard one.

On Tuesday, July 21, I met Sista Leah Adams. She and I first met seven months ago through Beth Moore's blog - Living Proof. We have encouraged one another and shared other vital information (for instance I know how she makes her collard greens). Over lunch we shared sweet fellowship and food together. Leah is a spectacular woman of God. She just radiates the love of JESUS! We had a super natural connection. One fine and divine appointment. Thank you, Lord for the Sista~Hood!

How is Your Happy :)

I bought this sign yesterday. I told my sweet man I was going to wear it around my neck as a necklace. Can I get an Amen from the Sista-Hood?

Lately,I have found myself not being very "happy!" Why? I am not real sure at the moment. And trust me I have been doing allot of soul searching. Sure, we all have problems and people in our lives that are difficult. We shall never get away from that, in this life, it's a given - Problems will come. But, do they have to prevail?

In the Bible we learn that we can do all things, right? Well, that's almost right. We can do all things through Christ that gives us strength. Recently, I have been struggling with just being content or plain ole' happy. What is happy , anyway? Why is happy important? How is your happy?

In the worlds view of happy we will find, big houses, fast cars, diamonds, furs and probably a second or third house somewhere. But, is that true happiness? If you look at the world's view for happy, you will be terribly disappointed. If happy was in the world, there would be no reason for Alcohol abuse, drug overdose and self destructive behaviors.

We can't find our happy in this world. Happy will not satisfy you. However, the Joy of JESUS can! When I was younger, I learned in Sunday School the meaning of JOY -

OTHERS
YOURSELF

Simple as it seems, I have found this to be so true in my life. I have Joy when Jesus is first, then others and myself last. Fullfillment in the Father! Contentment in Christ! There is no other answer for happy!

Jesus Wept

For seven months I have been involved with the "Siestas" Scripture Memory Verse team. I have my homemade spiral index cards, with me where ever I go. I am finding time through out my day to study my cards. Here are a few places that I've study. Maybe we can call these "Helpful suggestions." The following is a list of place that I caught a few minutes to study:

Doctors office
Car Wash Place
Car
(I wasn't driving)
Pool
Church
(not during preaching)

So, you see I have plenty of opportunities to study my cards. Please share with me your non traditional places that you are studying your scriptures. Be creative, look for opportunities through the day to study.

Oh, I need to tell you about my July 1st memory verse....

John 11:35 - Jesus Wept -
This is the shortest verse in the Bible. When I was in 3rd grade, my Sunday School teacher required us to quote a scripture each week. Being somewhat of a silly willy ( I mean willy willy silly) I quoted John 11:35 every Sunday for 2 months. My Sunday school teacher went to my Mom and said "Can you PLEASE get Staci to learned another verse besides Jesus Wept?" After my Mom told me this I went back the next Sunday and you guess it.....John 11:35 Jesus Wept - I guess I thought I gave HIM allot to cry over..... so in the spirit of Funny things I did as a girl - I posted John 11:35 as my memory verse -

Let peace control you thoughts! I have been guilty of letting other things, people, situations and even the enemy control my thoughts. The Lord has been walking me through a new journey. The journey I've been traveling is through the junk of my mind. I'm sure you've heard the cliche; "Too much junk in the trunk!" That's what we've been dealing with that Junk in the trunk. The trunk is a place we store things. right? Yes, so I've got some junk store in my trunk (mind) that God has been removing. Sistas, it's not much fun, but it sure is freeing me up! I want to be free from my junk! God spoke to my heart and said "I am turning your junk into jewels!" My first thought was a crown with jewels....that crown I will lay at my the sweet feet of my LORD!

So go ahead, Lord...pull all the junk out of me, you will receive more jewels !!

Only HE can turn junk into jewels!!

Pray 4 Me - SISTAS!!

I am calling on the Sista-Hood to pray!

I have several personal needs and plenty physical needs. One being, I am fighting a summer time cold! And I mean I'm fighting!!

Also, I finally got the letter I've been waiting on about my CAMS classes. Calling and Ministry Seminars. I have to attend 3 classes, take test, workbook study and write papers before I qualify to take the Exhorter's License test through the Church of God...Many hoops to jump through, but I'm thrilled to learn all I can about being a "Spreacher!"

Just a funny inside joke....all of the material is aimed at Men being "the called" one. So, Todd is referred to as the wife. Example: How does your wife feel about her role in your calling?
Oh, we have had so much fun with this. I am going to suggest they change it to read "spouse."

I would greatly appreciate your prayers. We are holding an Divine Design Women's Conference in August at New Liberty Church located in Braselton, Ga - Pray for all who are involved and the Sistas that will attend.

Happy Father's Day

Father's Day hasn't always been Happy for me. When I was ten years old my Dad and Mom got a divorce. This was devastating to me. All little girls need and want their Father. After all he is the first "man" in your life. He should be the first to hold the door for you, tell you that you're beautiful, give you butterfly kisses and of course be the shoulder to cry on. Well, what's a little girl suppose to do without that?? For me, the answer has been made much clearer the older I get. Through those years, I've had many special men in my life. First, was my Grandmother's husband. Papa John - He loved me and always was on my side. He would do just about anything for me. He brought allot of stability to my life during the rocky years. Also, my Mom remarried, a man named Ronnie, he was a life saver for our family. I call him the "Gentle Giant", he is very quiet and soft spoken. He went from being single into a house full of estrogen....My Mom, my sister who was 13 at the time and me I was 10. Whoa, be he ever walk into a hornets nest. But Ronnie brought a reassurance with him that we so desperately needed. Just knowing that we were not alone, brought much comfort to me. Also, we lived beside a real special family that calls me their "Adopted Daughter"- His name is Swain. He always made me feel special, just like one of the family. And of course there is my precious LORD. He has always taken care of me. I always have a safe place to fall - right into his arms. When I have struggles or worries, my Father always encourages me with his word.

For the last 20 years I have had the delight of watching my husband, Todd be a Daddy to our children. I have always heard that you try to live out your childhood through your children and I guess in some ways I find this to be true. I love to see Todd, go to Ansley and put his arms around her and say "I love you!" I hear him say to both of our children, "Drive safe, be careful." I am so proud of my husband and the Father that he is to our children. He gives unconditional love and is overflowing with understanding, he is compassionate and non-judgemental. What more could a kid ask for in a Dad?

Spin Cycles

In my preparation to speak at the next Divine Design conference, the Lord is changing my approach to the Laundry Room. I usually speak on, "Laying down your Load" in reference to our Heartaches, Habits, and Hangups. While it seems that each lady can relate to any one of the three, and have their heart stirred by a message that is relevant. GOD is doing a new work fresh work in the Laundry room.

Just to give you a snipet - I will be spreaching on "The Spin Cycles of Life" - Has anyone noticed, but does it seem that life is one cycle after another? Some cycles we go through are much faster than others and then you have the gentle cycle....it is soooooo slooooow - OK, you get the picture. What happens if our load gets off balanced? These are just a few places that the Lord has been taking me.

Last night, I spoke to a group of ladies at a local church. We are planning to hold a Divine Design conference there in October. As I presented the format of the conference, it was evident that each conference will be custom built. This will meet the individual needs of each Lady that attends. This is exciting to me. I love a fresh clean word from God - it's kinda like doing laundry; you put in stinky dirty clothes and in then after the process of washing and drying ....you have fresh clean garments - Fresh start!

I desire your prayers for me and The "Divas" of Divine Design! It's not just another "Fine" Women's Conference - it is DIVINE!!

What I discovered in the CLUTTER

OK.....first of all, I want to tell you I had a very L O N G day yesterday!!! However, I did get to sleep in this morning. Since I did not fall asleep until 2:00 am - anyway just one of those things - I was to tired to sleep...never quite understood the concept, but I experienced that very thing last night.

So, my day yesterday....a day of discovery. Me and JESUS just worked and worked - He was cleaning the closet in my heart as I cleaned my earthy closet... Here's what we discovered..

Boxes???

Why am I keeping these boxes??? I need the space in my closet....someone told me to hold on to the box they are valuable....maybe the china that came in them is valuable (which is located in my china cabinet) but the box they came it???? UH???? So, it hit me - something that is of value to one person, may have no value to another.....you guess it - the boxes are out of here!! The space is more valuable to me....that's the way of our heart - we hold on to things that have no value, only because someone told us they are valuable. Heart check - what do you value?

Christmas Sweaters....

I love Christmas sweaters.....but I've had these at least 7 years!!! Time to MOVE on!! Letting go of the familiar - Christmas sweaters never wear out.. The gift that keeps on going and going and going...well you get the picture! So, what did JESUS tell me about my Christmas sweaters???? While the Message doesn't change; the method does!! I see that in our churches today - We have to stay up with the times! Not changing the MESSAGE - oh no....but the methods! You guessed it......bye bye Christmas Sweaters!! You were good for a "Season!"

Wedding Garments

Yes, this is my wedding dress!! I just cried yesterday when I pulled it out! Over 23 years of marriage and we are still going strong! Can't squeeze in this size 8 anymore, I've grown in the LORD - Thank You, JESUS!! What did JESUS say too me??? Are you Wedding Garments ready for me to return? Oh, Yes, my precious Bridegroom - I am !! Heart Check - Are your Wedding garments ready??

Hangers??

What's hangers got to do with it??? Well, as I removed the clothes from the hanger, I just threw it on the ground.....yep...creating entanglement!! In the rush to complete my task I created a huge mess with the hangers!! Oh, boy...how many time have I've gotten in a BIG mess, trying to hurry through something GOD was teaching me. I'll do it my way and get it done!! OUCH- my toes are hurting...Here's what JESUS told me....untangle yourself!! There are things and people I'm tangled up with that I need to be untangled from! Comfy Shoes

I found these comfy shoes - I have not seen them in a while....you know why?? I could not find them and actually, I had even forgot I had them. Out of sight out of mind....But, when I rediscovered them - I put them on that very minute. Why?? Because I remembered how good they felt on my feet....What did JESUS say about my comfy shoes? Remember....I am your comforter!! I am the place of rest - find your comfort in me!! Heart Check IS HE your Comforter??

Pretty Flip Flops....Maybe / maybe NOT

I purchased these flip flops from Wal-mart 2 years ago...I have NEVER worn them. Right after I bought them I read on line that they are harmful; they can sometime cause a chemical burn. click here to read the story. What did JESUS say?? Things may appear one way, but truly be harmful. GOD protected me from wearing the flip flops...crazy I know - but it's the truth!! Heart Check Do you Trust GOD'S discernment in you?

Shoe without a match

These shoes have no match....Can't find them anywhere! It's strange all but one, fits the right foot, the others have left..OK, bad humor!! What did JESUS say??? No Companion - that's how we feel sometimes - Like we just don't fit...there's not another one like me...YEP it's true! JESUS is our true companion! After 10 long hours of clearing the clutter from my closet, I can honestly say that I am much lighter; in both the Spiritual and Earthly house. I loved my day with JESUS - He cleaned out things inside of my heart that needed to be removed years ago. Sistas, I want to encourage in to let go of the clutter. Use that space for GOD'S GRACE!!
